Dr. Jeremy Black


Dr. Black is possibly the most active representative of British scholarly views abroad. He has had numerous external appointments, including West Point Distinguished Visiting Lecturer, and he has lectured extensively in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, France, Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Denmark and Slovenia.

A Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Dr. Black has published 108 single-author books, two co-authored books, eight edited books and seven co-edited books. His work adds up to te most sustained presentation of British history in recent decades, as well as a major exponent of military, diplomatic and cartographic history.

Dr. Black serves on the editorial board of History Today, International History Review, Journal of Military History, and Media History. As such, he is one of the leading figures in the world of archives and history.
